First and foremost, thanks for all those who have edited my page/contributed it/attempted to make it better.

I would like to work on this article and improve it so that it unequivocally meets wikipedia's standards. However, there have been conflicting edits made my other wikipedia editors to my page, and suggestions for improvement have been vague, to the point where I am unsure as to where the issues lie. The template has been added to my page that it contains original research/provides unverifiable claims and needs more sources - can someone provide a representative sample from the article (a term or phrase, etc.) that fails to meet the 'no original research' criteria? I tried to provide citations directly from scholarly journal articles for most of the claims on this topic, perhaps I missed a citation or phrased something incorrectly?

I tried my best to cite all sources and appropriately credit every author who has worked to address the issue of the commodification of heritage, and offer as even handed a point of view as possible. I am just unclear as to where the issues exist on my page, so I dont know how to improve it.

Thanks again! Justintyrell (talk) 20:28, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Let's start with the article's title. Is this term used extensively in the appropriate literature? --Orange Mike | Talk 14:59, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey OrangeMike! Thanks for responding. In the literature, the topic is known mostly as cultural commoditization. Here is a link to some references putting the term in use:

perhaps the title of the page should be changed with cultural commoditization? I changed the name to heritage commodification bc I didnt want it to be confused with cultural commodification, a separate concept. ---Justintyrell (talk) 02:55, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
