WikiProject assessments for quality and importance[edit]

Despite this article's length, I barely consider it a start of an encyclopedic article and I almost assessed it as a stub. Wikipedia articles should be concise. Including great swathes of quotations from out of copyright reminiscences does not improve an article quality during assessment. If anything, this practice detracts from an article. The quotes in this article make it so long that I gave up reading. These long quotations add no real value to the article and it would be far better to provide just a brief summary and leave the quotations for Wikiquote or Wikisource. What is needed is the analysis that can be found in secondary and tertiary sources as these contain the necessary synthesis of the facts contained in the reminiscences. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 04:01, 25 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
