MKÖ-MKS[edit]

In what way are they the same? Alliance is a political party, MKÖ-MKS only included SMK-MKP and MF but the latter left? Braganza (talk) 08:16, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Összefogás was founded as a platform to unite the Hungarian parties and MKÖ-MKS was an electoral alliance disguised as party so they didn't need the 7% threshold, the article is written like Összefogás absorbed MKP & Hid which isn't the case. Alliance was a merger of MKP & Bridge but Bridge left and was refounded (and there was no important election during the time) and Alliance now is dominated by the MKP faction (which still exists within in the party) and is ideologically identical. So i propose MKP & Alliance and rename the history section.

I already started a similar request on German wikipedia [1] [2] where i went to more detail but i did not get much reaction too it. Braganza (talk) 14:55, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with the merge since the party still has two factions – Magyar Közösségi Összefogás and SMK–MKP. It's also possible that in the future they will cooperate with another minority party.--CaeCalig (talk) 15:56, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I support the restructuring, for what I'm reading there's a true mess in what respects the Hungarian minority parties and their coalitions so the restructuring to make it into less articles that better explain the mergers and dissolutions (especially if the other parties are supersmall) makes sense.
