Italics[edit]

How do you italicise the title? Unreal7 (talk) 10:10, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First, get the number of the series right and then you are good to go. I've done it now anyway. --MSalmon (talk) 10:37, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bottom 2[edit]

As we all know, there is no evidence that being named as "it might be you" infers the actual public vote for those named, although it obviously does for the eliminated contestant. It is purely a production artifice. As such, "Bottom 2" is inaccurate. Leaky Caldron 15:09, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If it is not a bottom two then what is it? --MSalmon (talk) 15:11, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For 10 years and 12 series it has been "xxxxxx, it might be you". It has become a classic IACGMOOH suspensory device. <Named in "it might be you"> is 100% accurate, not misleading and consistent with the broadcast, which is the only source that I can see is being used. Leaky Caldron 15:40, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
How it is at the moment with "Bottom two (named in)" is fine, but I don't think Eric should be listed as "5th" until we get the percentages at the end of the series. If you look at last series, the two named in the bottom 2 weren't always the two who got the lowest votes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.198.96.85 (talk) 19:01, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
"Bottom 2" is wrong. It clearly implies that they were in the bottom 2 in the public vote, there is no other interpretation. Since we know this to be clearly incorrect why insist on it? Can we not be more imaginative instead of offering readers a clear falsehood? Any any event, "5th" is completely wrong. Leaky Caldron 19:58, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Since we have it clearly stated by A&D that the names are read out in "no particular order" why are we persisting with the entirely inaccurate and misleading "Bottom 2" heading in the table? Does no one who edits here understand that this is an encyclopaedia and as such must report facts accurately without personal preference? Leaky Caldron 12:20, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think you are all reading to much into this. Only twice has someone been in the bottom two without the least amount of votes, with Dom & Sheryl in Series 10, and Mark & Crissy in Series 11. In ALL other cases the two people named were actually in the bottom two. --RachelRice (talk) 15:54, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
How do you possibly know that? The public votes are not published and A&D always say "no particular order" so you are either talking at cross purposes or you are talking nonsense. Leaky Caldron 16:01, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What the bell?[edit]

Just wondering where yesterday's "What the bell?" challenge would be put? They got 4 out of 11 stars.

Eviction days are all wrong![edit]

Just posting it here to explain the reasoning, but every eviction day so far is one out. Celebrities are evicted first thing in the morning, so move onto the next day. (So for example, it currently says Limahl was evicted on Day 12, but he was actually evicted early on Day 13).

I think the mistake comes from the time difference between the UK and the Australia. Here, it's currently still Friday (Day 13) but in Australia, it's now Saturday (Day 14). I feel like we should definitely list them Australia time, because even if it's only the 13th broadcast day, they have now been in the jungle on 14 days. :) (Kyleofark ([[User talk:Kyleofark|talk]]) 22:26, 23 November 2012 (UTC))[reply]

It is actually 2 days out because the entered the jungle on 9 November. Actually Ant & Dec tell us how many days each celeb has been in the jungle after they announce who is going. --MSalmon (talk) 22:30, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I thought we were in front of Australia? --RachelRice (talk) 18:34, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No, Australia's in front. It's currently 5:36am, Sunday the 25th of November Queensland time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.198.96.85 (talk) 19:36, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They entered on Sunday 11th, which makes today (Sunday) Day 15 in the jungle. Also, Ant & Dec stated 14 days for Linda. I'll change it now. It's definitely one day out! :) The only thing I'm not sure of, is what day Rosemary and Limahl actually entered. Does anyone remember this? :) I remember they first appeared on the episode after a one day break, but I can't remember when they actually went into the jungle! :) (Kyleofark (talk) 23:49, 24 November 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Rosemary and Limahl entered on Day 6 (the day when there was no episode) and the first elimination took place on Day 13 --MSalmon (talk) 09:38, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Celebrites are eliminated in the morning in Australia as you pointed out, but the Wikipedia articles for eariler I'm a Celebrity series use days consistent with UK rather then Australia; so while a celebrity may actually be eliminated on Day 12, they would be eliminated on Day 11 in the UK and on the other articles for I'm a Celebrity series, "Day 11" is what would be added to the article, not "Day 12". (I'm not sure if I really worded that correctly, but I think you understand my point.) To change things now would be inconsistent. And for some reason, two entire non-existant days seem to keep being added (well, at least when keeping in with UK times, which is what I'm doing - as did the articles for previous I'm a Celeb series), example; Nadine Dorries is said to be eliminated on Day 13, however, nine episodes broadcast plus two days when episodes weren't broadcast makes eleven days instead. Either way, there needs to be resolution to this. 81.158.185.171 (talk) 08:51, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I did actually notice that last years page (which ran for the same amount of time as this year) did the same thing, so I guess there is a precedent, but personally it's something that I think is a bit silly. It feels like we're almost writing a day off, just over something as trivial as time difference. If they are in the jungle on 14 individual days, then why say it's 13? My personal belief is that we should revise past articles, but I might be missing a previous discussion somewhere, so I won't change anything for now, though maybe a new discussion should happen :)

Either way though, I'm really not sure where that extra second day had come from? As far as I'm aware, the celebrities entered on 11 November. Today is the 28th, which in the way I saw it, would make today Day 18, not Day 19... :) (Kyleofark (talk) 00:34, 28 November 2012 (UTC))[reply]

They entered on the 10th --RachelRice (talk) 15:55, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
