Historical Errors[edit]

Just wanted to point out that the film does not portray the events as daytime, as stated in the errors section. This is not only obvious from the title, but also from several scenes which it depicts taking place shortly before the collision, ie. "Evening entertainment in the Café Parisien" or "Evening toilet in a luxury cabin". During the sinking some portholes and windows of the Titanic model are even lit, clearly portraying a night scene.

An additional error might be the scene of lifeboats picking up survivors, which unfortunately never happened as depicted in the film. Lifeboats (plural) never picked up passengers (likewise plural) during or after the disaster. Eventually one lifeboat was cleared and returned to the area, dragging a few people from the sea, but that's about it. Since this was one of the major criticisms raised towards survivors, it could be considered an error in the film. There's also nothing to substantiate Captain Smith saving someone from the sea, then swimming away from the boats in order to drown with his ship. Cute, for sure, but it never happened. 87.148.153.32 (talk) 18:54, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
