List[edit]

A List of IC objects should be created, as a complement to List of NGC objects 76.66.193.90 (talk) 13:34, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the fact that 1-most IC objects are inconspicuous; and 2-most articles about NGC objects are really only stubs; and 3-it is relatively easy to get to any article for an IC object; I do not see fit to creating such a List of IC objects. But that's only my own opinion. CielProfond (talk) 02:35, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That argues for creation of a list, and not against it, so that we don't have a tonne of stubs floating around, instead a list would exist. And NGC already has a list, while not every NGC object has an article. I'm not sure creating an article for every single IC object (or NGC object) as a stub is all that great. (15,000 stubs? IC+NGC roughly) 76.66.193.90 (talk) 09:08, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merger[edit]

There is a proposal to merge this article to New General Catalogue, see Talk:New General Catalogue. 65.93.12.65 (talk) 06:17, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
