Completely different company associated with this article as of May 14, 2014[edit]

This article started as a stub about a defunct video game accessories company named InterAct, owned by Recoton. At some point it was changed into a redirect to the company that acquired the Game Shark brand after Recoton went bankrupt.

It was then changed earlier this year, without any discussion, to an article about a completely unrelated software company also called InterAct. However, all links to this article are about the defunct company, as they developed several popular video game-related products described in other articles.

As a stopgap measure, I will be adding an About link to the former target of the redirect to the top of this article. Hopefully this will serve to reduce confusion caused by the surprise "takeover" of the article, and perhaps any confused parties will be able to see this comment on the talk page as well.

Unfortunately I'm unaware if any more permanent and appropriate measures would apply in this case. 69.181.226.23 (talk) 03:03, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pinging deletion nominator @David Gerard: Should we restore the redirect to Game Genie instead of deleting this page? Seems like that "InterAct" is arguably more notable. --Elephanthunter (talk) 16:21, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like a pretty good resolution actually - David Gerard (talk) 18:04, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
