...notwithstanding this remained as a myth of Italian (at least) contemporary journalism on the issue.

Evidently, only this last sentence is directly applicable to the Bosnian situation. Thus, where Izetbegovic affirms (being usually cited apart from the context by the Serbian propaganda) that «there’s no peace or coexistence between the Islamic faith and non-Islamic social and political institutions» he refers to those countries in which good Muslims constituting the majority of the population can not accept the imposition of non-Islamic institutions.

Same concepts that Izetbegovic specifies in the treaty Islam between East and West, in which he praises Renaissance art, Christianism, anglo-saxon philosophy and social-democratic tradition; all elements impossible to praise for a “fundamentalist”.

Hi Tickle_me; about the first line, I can provide a list of articles from Italian newspapers stating that the SDA would have transformed Bosnia in an Islamic State; do you think it would be useful?; about the second line, it is also the opinion of Malcolm and Banac, and the third is the opinion of Malcolm as well (stated that the concept of "islamic fundamentalism" includes anti-occidentalism and political extremism, if Izetbegovic praises the West he cannot be considered such). Looking forward to hear from you. Bye! :)--Dans-eng 10:40, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
please use the <ref name="someName">[http://someurl page title]</ref> syntax, so quotes and attributions are made clear.
"about the first line, I can provide a list of articles from Italian newspapers stating that the SDA would have transformed Bosnia in an Islamic State"
It would be npov to quote or paraphrase these articles. --tickle me 11:34, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've added some more footnotes. Unfortunately now I cannot consult the books and specify the precise pages. I hope it's enough.--Dans-eng 22:51, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Link Young Muslims is linked with some American muslim organisation, please change the link because in this article is mentioned a Bosnian muslim organisation Mladi muslimani not American (Young muslims is correct translation in English) Best regards --89.146.132.252 (talk) 14:58, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A citation is needed for the above statement. And by citation I mean the exact phrase where he allegedly praised the West because this is conflicting with the information that we are provided by the Islamic Declaration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.130.130.33 (talk) 11:39, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All of the text in The issue of an Islamic government and Izetbegovic and the “Islamic fundamentalism” is a close paraphrase of Noel Malcolm's own paraphrase in Bosnia: A short history of some of the passages from Islamic Declaration (I could not locate a full english translation online). Besides, it seems the principal author of this wikipedia item has been paraphrasing an Italian translation of Malcolm's book. The No modernization without roots in the Qu'ran part is also a close paraphrase of a short passage in Ivo Banac's article. The English version of both sources is available in "limited preview" format at Google Books, so I added links to the relevant online pages in those editions and changed Reference data to reflect those changes (replaced the Italian reference with the English one from Google Books, updated reference data). 216.99.34.131 (talk) 21:26, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just found the 1990 reprint of the Declaration, both in Serbian and in English (the website is extremely pro-Serb but they made sure the text is reproduced as is, so I figure it's a valid copy). 216.99.34.131 (talk) 22:05, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The text can be found in the records of the ICTY (irc.icty.org) and that can be considered the proper translation, AFAIK, as it's used in the court cases in the ICTY. You need to register and search for "Islamic declaration" in the English documents for all accused (can't remember the exact court case where it first shows up). It's a multipage tiff, easily convertable to pdf. 78.90.26.228 (talk) 11:04, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Links to the document[edit]

All links to the document are dead as of now. I found http://www.slobodan-milosevic.org/documents/islamic-declaration.pdf on Google, which is ridiculous, slobodan-milosevic.org is a ridiculous place to be linking to. The document does look genuine, but someone who if familiar with it would need to look at it. Are there any other copies on the internet? User:Fred Bauder Talk 13:03, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regime[edit]

Antidiskriminator, why did you do this? English-language sources favour "Tito regime" over "Tito government". bobrayner (talk) 22:29, 26 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
