What Happened in the Olympics?[edit]

I appreciate that this article is a translation from the German, but I think maybe someone ought to re-visit the translation process. The comment, "however, the teams split in Semi-final of the 1500m." has no meaning in the context of Olympic 1500m competition, there are no teams (or weren't in 1964, anyway). What actually happened was: On Oct 17th, May was second in heat 2 in 3:44.2 and moved forward to the next round on October 19th. The first semi-final was very fast thanks to the Frenchman Michel Bernard, five men under 3:40, fifth placed John Whetton ran 3:39.9 and made the final only as a fastest loser. Jim Ryun finished last. The second semi-final was more restrained, won in 3:41.5 by the American Dyrol Burleson. World record holder for the indoor mile Tom O'Hara (USA) finished eighth and was eliminated. Jurgen May was 9th in 3:46.8. What that means in terms of "the teams split in Semi-final" is beyond me.
