As of June 15, 2010, the Society's interim president is Bill Sandberg; Mr. Mueller remains an active member of the board; currently there is no title of Executive Director.

The largest artifact on display currently in the museum itself is that of the USS Saratoga, CV-60. The Louisville is now owned by the Frazier Museum of International History in Louisville, KY where it is on display as part of a special WWII exhibit.

The current museum building, leased from the City of Jacksonville, will be demolished sometime in early 2011 as the City plans a redevelopment of the riverfront Southbank area. The Museum will be deciding in the next two months whether or not to move back into The Jacksonville Landing where it had a presence from 1985 to 1993,
