Untitled[edit]

The lowest rank in the Gendarmerie is soldat. (Well, actually, the lowest rank after the last reorganization and the end of the compulsory military service is sergent major - nothing below that exists anymore). I don't know where this "Jandarm" nonsense came from. Would be nice if someone had a source for this. 92.81.26.79 (talk) 20:48, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
