Pennsylvania?[edit]

I've been reading about power outages and such locations as Pennsylvania. Is that this storm?— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 19:25, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently it's not that bad. In terms of how long people have been waiting. This is Nika.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 20:44, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Winter Storm Pax[edit]

I don't know where the proper place is to start a discussion. But I've been reading online or hearing on the radio all day about a storm which will hit Georgia and be "catastrophic" or "historic". The article needs to be started somewhere and may even make necessary a move and disambiguation page for this article.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:09, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

title[edit]

There have been at least 2 winter storms in 2014 originating along the Gulf Coast. This should be renamed January 2014 Eastern United States winter storm RadioFan (talk) 02:15, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And I'm about to start a new article about the latest storm so that will make three.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 02:15, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Article is here and I am confident it will pass the notability test. Anyone want to name it?— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 17:58, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe they should be named according to their dates and given redirects from their corresponding Weather Channel names? This storm refers to the one two weeks ago, and it is a completely separate system from the one occurring right now. toll_booth (talk) 04:44, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Someone gave my article a better name and I'm finally getting help with it. It's a red link because it was a userspace draft.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:20, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced speculation[edit]

If someone is predicting how Atlanta will handle the next storm (and from what I've heard, they're doing better with the next one) and comparing this one to past storms, please give a source.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 21:20, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

surprise[edit]

A revision is needed to the following phrase: "... and much to the surprise of others further north that had not paid attention to later changes in weather forecasts and corresponding winter storm warnings." Updated forecasts did bring the Atlanta metro into the area expecting icing, but the Birmingham forecast remained unchanged from "potential for light dusting" even as cars were starting to slide around on a layer of ice formed from the rapid snow accumulation on sub-freezing road surfaces. I'll be working on wording and references for an expanded Bhamwiki article, which can be found here: Bhamwiki:2014 winter storm --Dystopos (talk) 22:24, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
