May 1st?[edit]

In the article, it says that the last CRJ 100 was transferred to air canada jazz, on may 1st... of what year? does anybody know? Greenboxed 17:34, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seperate airline?[edit]

Some other articles - well, the WestJet one anyway - are now stating that AC Jazz is Canada's "second largest carrier." I thought that AC Jazz operated under the same airline code and certificate as mainline. Or is that a misconception?

If they operate with the same airline code and operating certificate, than AC and AC Jazz are arguably one airline. Anyway, just wondering.... Knave 18:34, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dash 8 Q's?[edit]

The article says that all the Dash 8 are the Q variants. From the De Havilland Canada Dash 8 article is says that the Q variant was not being built until 1996. I looked up one of their Dash 8's at Transport Canada and this particular Dash 8 100 was built in 1990. I'm not aware of any upgrades having been done to the fleet to bring them up to the Q standard.

I'm almost certain that prior to Air Ontario being absorbed into Jazz, that Air Ontario had no Q variants in its fleet. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Zweers (talkcontribs) 07:00, 31 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Air Canada Jazz doesn't have any Q variant aircraft as of Febuary 2008. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 101Whatup101 (talkcontribs) 15:49, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Details at the start of the aricle[edit]

In the opening paragraph of the article, there is, in extensive detail, information about where the airline is based. I dont think that it is appropriate for all of that info to be in the opening paragraph, but would be better placed later on in the article. Greenboxed 00:44, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bombardier CRJ[edit]

I see there isn't an incident section but this might fit somewhere. CambridgeBayWeather Have a gorilla 14:27, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No longer part of ACE[edit]

ACE no longer has any ownership in Jazz Air, and this page needs to be updated to reflect that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PrinceAndrew (talkcontribs) 03:16, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of hubs and focus cities?[edit]

Are there any reliable links/sources as to what cities Jazz considers hubs and focus cities? I haven't been able to find any.24.72.27.204 (talk) 03:18, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Q400s?[edit]

Where did the news that Jazz is getting Q400s come from? There's nothing in the press. And there's no source here. If it can't be substantiated it should be labelled as a rumour or deleted. 17 September 2009

why not jazz air title?[edit]

Article states the airline is Jazz Air also known as Air Canada Jazz, clearly indicating its actual name is just Jazz Air.116.71.9.176 (talk) 13:41, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, Jazz Air and Air Canada Jazz are not the same thing. "Air Canada Jazz" is a brand name owned by Air Canada and is used to refer to their Regional air service. Air Canada Jazz flights are operated by Jazz Air, which will soon be named Chorus Aviation Inc. This page should be titled Jazz Air. 24.224.206.199 (talk) 01:43, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Floatation devices[edit]

In the quoted article (7) it states that "life jackets were removed from ALL of Jazz's aircraft"... NOT "ALL life jackets were removed..."

In fact to meet Transport Canada rules there has to be enough live jackets for any child onborad. Jazz carries a minimum of 5 life jackets on all aircraft.

call Jazz to verify. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.135.114.50 (talk) 05:05, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Title[edit]

According to the Jazz website, the airline is officially known as Jazz Aviation LP Why is the page still titles Jazz Air, not Jazz Aviation??? Link: http://www.flyjazz.ca/en/home/aboutjazz/history.aspx

Proposed merge with Jazz Aviation LP[edit]

Jazz Aviation LP still operates under the name Jazz Airlines, as well as Air Canada Express. This information would be better used in a unified article on Jazz. RA0808 talkcontribs 19:30, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the information on Jazz Aviation LP is on this page. Someone may add the rest of the information on if they wishes to I guess. Matt12ho (talk) 03:52, 25 May 2014 (UTC)Matt12ho[reply]

Agree, all the information on the LP page is covered here, and this article can be restructured to reflect the change. LaSeandre (talk) 20:09, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

For some reason the merger was never carried out. It's now completed: the Jazz Aviation LP article was essentially redundant to this one anyway. --RFBailey (talk) 00:32, 3 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jazz (airline)Jazz Aviation – Jazz Aviation LP is the full name of the airline as seen on the company's website:[1]. This can be further shortened to Jazz Aviation to comply with WP:UCRN but IMO, this should not be "Jazz (airline)" since we must also follow WP:NATURALDISAMBIGUATION. And we can get rid of the unnecessary "(airline)". Idmsdmsalescaleneiviq (talk) 07:59, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Jazz Aviation seems to be the WP:COMMONNAME among recent sources; see [2], [3], [4], [5] (all retrieved from the first page of Google News results for jazz airlines -utah -music). ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 20:30, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
