Potential hoax[edit]

My research found a demolished stadium by this name [1], however it had no capacity at all before being turned into a public square.

This article could also be a mistaken duplicate for the Changchun Stadium, it could be some type of synthesis error, a hoax, or something that I'm unable to locate.

Please note that it is not the venue in the Jilin City Dongshan Cultural and Sports Center Park, that one isn't a stadium... Respublik (talk) 21:08, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Concern about stadium no longer being extant[edit]

Per the AfD discussion, we have two self-published sources that suggest the stadium is no longer extant, and this is fairly easily verifiable through cross-referencing their photographs with current satellite imagery.

The article currently suggests that the stadium is extant. Though we don't have the reliable sources to say so, I think it's a disservice to readers to suggest this, when we can be fairly confident otherwise. It would be good, in my view, to try to locate a reliable source about the stadium's demolition, or failing that, WP:IAR and use the self-published sources with a "better reference needed" tag.
