To be added at the bottom of the lede (or elsewhere for that matter):
In 2023, the Kingsmead Trust announced that they were partnering with the [[Oasis Charitable Trust]] to reopen the school site under the name "Oasis Kingsmead".<ref><ref name="wktoday">{{cite news |last1=Johnston |first1=Paul |title=New plan to revive historic Kingsmead School |url=https://westkirby.todaynews.co.uk/2023/07/17/news/new-plan-to-revive-historic-kingsmead-school/ |access-date=19 July 2023 |work=West Kirby Today |date=17 July 2023}}</ref>
My COI is slight – my spouse went to the school in the 1960s – but enough to give me pause. — Trey Maturin™ 13:45, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. Appreciate your abundance of caution here but I think you're good to make the edit yourself. Since its closing is mentioned in the lede, the sentence you suggest should also be fine in the lede. That said, things mentioned in the lede should be expanded upon in the main body of the article. Since that is true of the school's closing, it follows that you should expand on the reopening plans there as well. Xan747 (talk) 17:04, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
