A László férfinév a szláv Vladislav névből fejlődött Ladiszló, Ladszló, Lacló, László alakokon keresztül. A szláv név elemeinek jelentése: hatalom és dicsőség.

What does that mean? I see vladislav, does it mean lazlo comes from vladislav?

Yes pretty much that's what it means.
