Talk:Label

NOTE: I visit the LABEL page this morning searching for some sense of how we use the term label as it applies to the labeling of people in groups as say, Progressive, Liberal, Conservative, Radical, Republican, Democrat, Racist, Sexist etc. All of the preceding are labels and yet it feels like this page marginalizes our use of the word in those contexts by featuring only the application of the word label as it applies to the physical item used it marketing.

As I have never participated in a discussion on a "Talk" page at Wikipedia, I do not know how these things work, but I imagine interested parties will educate me about how this works. Please pardon me if I am in violation of established protocols I do not know about yet.

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Riseley (talkcontribs) 14:32, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

NOTE: I just checked the disambiguation page. There is surely more for me to understand about this process there, but I still believe that this page leans too forcefully toward the physical item, and insufficiently toward the idea. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Riseley (talkcontribs) 14:36, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
