Distribution[edit]

We have them in Australia. Clearly leatherjackets are not Amerocentric. They not only have a retractable poisonous dorsal spike but also a patchwork of numerous small toxic spurs near the tailfin. Sorry, my mistake. The Australian leatherjacket fish is a different species - Meuschenia scaber - not Oligoplites saurus. Wokepedian (talk) 14:39, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
