Page issues[edit]

Hello, @Striker2020. Why have you reverted this edit? There are numerous issues with the current version.

  • All information must be supported by reliable sources. The article contains dozens of press releases and fansites, but these should not be used as sources (see WP:SELFPUB). There are also instances of citation overkill.
  • The "Sets" section contains excessive details like product codes and "promo sets" (what are those?), and I see no need to list every toy set ever released. It reads like a product listing. A general overview of basic facts, as mentioned in reliable sources, should suffice. The average reader isn't interested in vague product codes (I'm not sure what purpose those serve).
  • The "Shorts" and "Video games" sections contain several smaller subsections that are unnecessary, given their size. As explained here, Very short sections and subsections clutter an article with headings and inhibit the flow of the prose. Short paragraphs and single sentences generally do not warrant their own subheading. This version would be ideal.
  • The entries in the "See also" section are unnecessary, consisting of links that are already mentioned in the article or already included in the Jurassic Park navigation box at the bottom. For the "External links" section, only the main Lego link is needed. Jurassic Outpost is a fansite and has nothing to do with the article topic.

I'm sorry @AJFU because I wasn't quite sure about that you rewrite my page. I thought of following the example from the other pages like Lego Ninjago, Lego Star Wars, Lego Toy Story, The Lego Movie (franchise) and Lego Indiana Jones must be in full details. It's not exactly your page. I see that you created it, but once created, everybody is welcome to edit it. See WP:OWNERSHIP. I wouldn't call myself a Lego expert, but I know enough about this particular line of products. Characters[edit]

A list of characters for what exactly? The movies and animated projects (The Secret Exhibit and Legend of Isla Nublar) already have their own character lists. As for the toy sets, the "Overview" section already mentions that minifigures, based on the film characters, were released. That seems sufficient enough. The actual character names are not a major point that readers need to know in order to understand this page. If readers are curious to know who the film characters are, they would go to the film articles to learn more.
Also, a character list would require reliable sourcing. As far as I can tell, the minifigures are not commonly discussed in such sources. For example, this source vaguely mentions "two besuited characters" and a "guy with an umbrella". Construction sets[edit]

Hi @Fieryninja I found this second paragraph from the Overview section it's suppose to be known as the Construction Sets section. I try to make this second paragraph as the Construction Sets section. @AJFU the last Friday you reverted it. I found the 2 sets are Indoraptor Rampage at Lockwood Estate and Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage from the Overview section it can be related to the Contruction sets section. Striker2020 (talk) 14:22, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fan videos are not construction sets, and neither is the life-sized model of Blue. These aren't toy sets that you can buy and assemble. They wouldn't belong in a section called "Construction sets".  AJFU  (talk) 15:25, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Development[edit]

Fan videos and the life-sized model of Blue[edit]

@Fieryninja this 2 fan videos [11][12] and the life-sized model of Blue [13] from the Overview section was added by the editor. Hi Striker2020 I've had a look at the citations and I don't know the context as to why these have been included. The only reason I would include fan videos is if they were endorsed by The Lego Group. The life size model of Blue is something that is perhaps worth mentioning as part of the marketing of the product line. Sorry I can't be of more help. Perhaps you should discuss this further. Striker2020 I've done a quick copy-edit on your text for the development and launch sections. I think the development section reads well. The launch is missing a citation for the launch date. I'm not too sure about the two quotes you have added - they read like press release statements. Hi Striker2020 you can't use the first source because it's a blog. We can't use user generated content. If you can find a different source about the launch event that would be great. Striker2020 Good work on finding these sources. As I am new to this page, the only advice I can give is to make sure that you identify what points you are making with these sources. Sources pages[edit]

Hi Striker2020 I think you can use the first source for launch info (but best not to add the quote). The second source is good for the reception section.
