  • In the process of adding links. I don't have all of the technical skills to clean up the mess so there may be a cluster of re-edits.
  • Got links for all except Roger Villeneuve

    • I'll try to clean it up when I have a few mins. Me-123567-Me (talk) 20:24, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
      • k,was almost done and I made half the artical disapear. re-vert is awesome. Also, moving Thomas down as he is appearantly deceased.--Wilson (talk) 20:32, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

New BC politicians

I added in the references to show all but one of the people added is a city councillor. But all except Jane Sterk need to have a reference added to show that they are in fact members of the party. Me-123567-Me (talk) 15:21, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

No greens yet elected to the federal level

Blair Wilson was not elected as a green so his inclusion on this list strikes me as inaccurate. I'm reluctently leaving his name with a disclaimer. --Wilson (talk) 11:38, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Would you prefer if we re-named the list? Me-123567-Me (talk) 02:39, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
    • Hmm...no-ish. He is indeed elected, and a green now just not "elected as a green". the disclaimer should do, though "list of green politicians who have held office" would work. --Wilson (talk) 11:26, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
      • I've edited his entry to reflect that he was elected as a Liberal, not an Independent, and that he was ejected from their caucus. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 154.5.187.62 (talk) 20:08, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Civic Politicians

I'm not sure if you know this but civic politicians in Canada are not associated with political parties when running for election or in office. Political parties do not field candidate for elections, they all run as independents with no associated party. It seems a little misleading to place these people in this article because they have no relation to the Green Party in terms of putting policies forward, voting, etc. Gsingh (talk) 05:48, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Not entirely true. Vancouver and Montreal both have municipal political parties, and while parties may not be formally acknowledged in other municipalities, councillor's can still hold a party membership. Me-123567-Me (talk) 15:09, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

Culling

I went through and removed anyone from this list who was added, but not cited if they didn't have an article. I also removed anyone who's citation couldn't prove their green party affiliation. I'll probably do some more culling soon. Me-123567-Me (talk) 20:19, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Criteria for inclusion

Shouldn't this list only include people who were elected as Greens or identified as Green when they held office? It seems odd that people like John Streicker, who was elected was a Yukon Liberal, are included here. While he was also had a role within the Federal Green party at sometime, he never held any federal office as a Green. Same for Andrea Reimer. She was a Vision Vancouver city councillor. Sure, she might have identified with the provincial or federal Greens in some way but she never held any offices as a Green and she did not identify with the Green Party of Vancouver. This list seems to include people that really shouldn't be on it.--Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 23:19, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
