Photos of captive wolves

Some of the pictures are of captive wolves instead of the listed wild populations (e.g. pictures from Germany and Denmark). Wouldn't it be better to remove them? 91.61.101.96 (talk) 03:46, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

East Siberian Wolf in Sweden

The article claims that an East Siberian Wolf has been imported to Sweden. While I cannot say that the claim is false, it is certainly not proven to be true. The source is a personal website, citing a letter by an individual who is well known for his strong personal views on wolves and policies towards wolves. If no better source can be found, the claim should be removed.JdeJ (talk) 07:03, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

After reading a bit more, I just deleted the claim and removed the source. The webpage is the personal page of a certain Mr Broo, a fanatic opponent of wolves in Sweden. The credibility of the site, being both a personal webpage and one with a very strong POV, is none. Please remember that "source" means using a credible source, not just anything we happen to find on the net.JdeJ (talk) 07:07, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

Total population of wolves in Lipetsk Region (Russia) is 20-30 animals. Lipetsk part of Voronezh reservation has a stable population (its 1% of region area), in other places wolves only appear very seldom and are ruthlessly killed. 70,000 in the US?

The article states that the US has a population of 70,000, but the figures given for individual states add up to nowhere near that amount. Anyone have a reason for the discrepancy, or a better figure?Mikeatnip (talk) 00:26, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

The numbers of wolves in Germany are not up-to-date, the population is growing fast. Dingo/New Guinea singing dog?

It is quite understandable the C.l. familiaris is absent from this article, but is there any reason why another subspecies of the grey wolf, C.l. dingo, is excluded from the census? Kevin McE (talk) 19:06, 10 June 2020 (UTC)

Yes there is a reason: because according to MSW3 C.l.d is classified under the "domestic dog clade" along with C.l.f, as opposed to the "wild wolf clade". William Harris (talk) 05:28, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
