SELECT

There seems to be an error here. There is a Vodafone MVNO allegedly called "SELECT", which links to the Wikipedia disambiguation page for that term.

Would it be reasonable to add a section (or column) listing the MVNOs that support IPv6?

AFAIK EE have full support, Three have support on specific devices and that's it. Hoping to find a MVNO that has it (Lyca does not despite using EE's network). rayrob (talk) 15:52, 29 July 2023 (UTC)

Trimming

Wikipedia:NOTDIRECTORY says wikipedia is not a directory; Wikipedia:NOTEVERYTHING says just because we can document everything it doesn't mean we should. Wikipedia is not a telecoms buyers guide. I have trimmed the list to only show those MVNO companies that have a Wikipedia article, or (and I'd be happy remove these further) any that don't have a linked article but do at least have a reference. Listing dozens of unreferenced entries that don't go anywhere goes right against what Wikipedia stands for - no original research, verifiable references, etc. I hope others agree with me. 10mmsocket (talk) 12:34, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

@CJSWEET1990 just commented "Sorry, but you are not allowed to reference in the list to external websites, hence there are no references. Not all MVNOs have a wikipedia page." They don't need their own Wikipedia article - just references. Who says you cannot reference in the list to external websites? That's absolutely allowed. It's not encourage / allowed to put inline links but if there are external sources (not just the MVNO's own website but other sources such as trade journals) that support/confirm the existence of the MVNO then there's no reason that MVNO shouldn't be listed in the table. 10mmsocket (talk) 13:08, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

@10mmsocket: Your edit was certainly bold, as it has removed some prominent names 1pMobile, Anywhere SIM, Vectone Mobile and some other newly launched MVNOs. I agree that some operators shouldn't be mentioned, but your decision to remove names should have also been discussed on the talk page. I will be making some edits. :

Do not add inline links, those are never acceptable on Wikipedia in the body of an article or table. If a company is to be included in the list then it should have either its own article, or a reference (ideally not the company's own website) that shows that it is indeed a MVNO of one of the major networks and that it offers 4G, visual voicemail, etc. --10mmsocket (talk) 18:44, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

@10mmsocket: Leaving it as red link is can also be valid, and the answer to certain topics not having their own articles, shouldn't be removing them, rather you should take it upon yourself, as a contributor, to make articles for the pages, it would be one thing if the networks were unheard of, but that isn't even the case - they are pretty well known! If you're still stubborn for a reference then you should consider Telecompaper - And also, adding a seperate coloumn for "Visual Voicemail", is really unnecessary, considering 1. People do not generally expect MVNOs to have Visual Voicemail, 2. Only 2 networks offer this feature, and it essentially looks like WP:Promo. :

WP:BURDEN it is not upon me to provide references for stuff you add to Wikipedia. If you can provide references that are verifiable and reliable then please do so soon or the entries will be removed as unreferenced. 10mmsocket (talk) 21:38, 21 November 2021 (UTC)

See also Wikipedia:Listcruft, in particular the meaning section. That certainly applied here before the entries were trimmed. Just because this is a list doesn't mean that WP:N, WP:RS and WP:V are waived for individual entries. --10mmsocket (talk) 18:50, 21 November 2021 (UTC)
