Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as pure vandalism or a blatant hoax, because... (your reason here)

It will be absurd to consider this profile of a reputable person and Ovie of blessed memory. HRM Luke Erede Ejohwomu was the Ovie of Abraka Kingdom. I wonder why an accurate narrative of his lived experience will at all attract "deletion". While I can understand this may triggered by some who set out to cause mischief I am affirming in the strongest possible terms that the information is 100% correct. My contact details (Dr. Obuks Ejohwomu) as a Staff of The University of Manchester can be obtained from the web by way of verification. --IsiObuks (talk) 09:47, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@IsiObuks: I agree this does not appear to be a hoax, and I have removed the template from the article. However, we see articles like this all the time here, and they are often eventually deleted as not meeting our inclusion requirements. It is not enough that the facts are true; the person must meet our notability requirements based on multiple independent reliable sources. Someone who you or I consider a "notable" person may still not be considered "notable" by Wikipedia standards. You will need to provide such reliable sources soon, or the article may still be at risk of deletion, not as a hoax, but because it may meet this criterion for speedy deletion. --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:02, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
