MEH - or meh are verbal utterances to convey a feeling of less than satisfactory current condition. Similar to or may be used in place or 'whatever' or 'ask me latter - im not so so sure right now'... MEH in no way implies or conveys a 'weirdo' status... In fact it demonstrates that the person using the term has in fact given some though to the relevance of the current physical and mental condition and is unable or unwilling to at that point in time provide a definitive answer, or perhaps knows that any answer other than MEH will result in further questioning.

Origin - according to a close source (Ms.D), meh can be traced back her cat many years ago when asked, 'Do you want to go outside?' directly after being awaken from a nap, replied - 'meh'. This short discourse conveyed deep tacit meaning; I just woke up - i dont know if i need a drink - or am hungry - or want to use the cat box..... The deep often meaningful messages behind 'meh' are often lost on those who do not pay close attention to conversation. This in it's self can save the user many long unnecessary conversations.

Caution - should not be overused. Similar to the word 'like' which can be find itself horribly overused in daily conversation - 'meh' should be withheld and used for only those situations where it's true value can be derived. e.g. not having to explain what you mean by 'oh - ok i guess' or 'one day at a time' or 'you wouldn't believe me if I told you'....... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dswashburn (talkcontribs) 09:30, 28 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Meh[edit]

I suggest either creating or linking to an article describing "Meh" as an interjection. --163.248.159.162 (talk) 18:46, 5 September 2008 (UTC) heh heh walrus —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.113.15.161 (talk) 01:38, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
