Is his name written as "Mahbubul" or "Mahbub-ul"? Most references I saw before use the latter, including Banglapedia. --Ragib 19:56, 8 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First World War service[edit]

The 49th Bengali battalion was raised on 1st July 1917. Mahbub could not have served during the recapture of Kut which was taken in February 1917.
