Crown Colony

[edit]

Crown Colony refers to the British colonization? Why no mention that it was a British colony? After all English is the official language — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:7:8500:982:A54A:C715:9B9A:BA41 (talk) 03:02, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Commas

[edit]

Added two commas to a sentence about two kinds of frogs. I know they should be there, but I'm not sure whether an additional two should go before the final adjectives (endemic and introduced). Moonlet (talk) 23:40, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Trinidad Geology

[edit]

Constructive Criticism on the Geology section: After reading the section on Trinidad's geology, I can say that i know no more about it than I did before I read it. The verbiage is far too complicated for the everyday reader. Anticlines and sinclines are advanced topics. Also, there is no mention of mud volcanoes and of course we know there are many scattered throughout Trinidad. If I were a geologist I would correct the section, alas I am not. Is there anyone out there who can clarify the geology section? Thanking you in advance.

Photos included on wiki page

[edit]

I don't understand the relevance of the photo captioned: "Internal waves around northern Trinidad, as seen from space". What does this photo have to do with anything? Nowhere in the wiki page is there any mention of what an internal wave is and why it is significant to Trinidad. Also, I don't understand it's connection to zoology, as the photo has been placed within the zoology section.

Similar comments for the photo captioned: "Artisanal fishing at Mayaro Bay". What does fishing have to do with the geology of Trinidad? I know I'm being critical here, but please include relevant photos. You might have included a photo of a mud volcano, or the northern mountain range. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:252:D6F:AC80:4048:8A30:9560:CC76 (talk) 16:22, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Commons has plenty pictures taken on Trinidad; if you can think of any island landmarks, I bet there's a picture of it. Kind regards, Grueslayer 19:13, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Politics of Trinidad

[edit]

Most Wikipedia entries on countries have a section on politics; but I did not see one here. As a previous colony under the Spanish, French and British, the politics of Trinidad must be of interest, I should think. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.75.239.107 (talk) 15:47, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To the extent this is covered it's in the politics of Trinidad and Tobago article. Guettarda (talk) 00:12, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
