Nothing of importance[edit]

No offence to the man or the wikipedian (whom doesnt seem to have a wikipage) but this article has a spam link and myspace as external links, contains nothing of real importance (his name isnt mentioned on the albums as far as i can find) and it was started by the man himself.... I quote "Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself" Fethroesforia 19:26, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that he shouldn't have made an article about himself, but it's a common newbie mistake for those who actually have made something of a mark on the world. Mark Tinley is pretty important in the Duran Duran world -- he was a key part of their music-making process for over ten years, and his name is well-known among those who follow the band (unlike most sound engineers/producers). I'll see if I can find some other references to flesh this out. — Catherine\talk 01:20, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
