Language System[edit]

Is this page for the books series and the TV Show? If so, then here is a line from the Language System section of the TV show article that might need to be rewritten a little: "On the other hand, almost all animals are able to speak some sort of human language (it being much less complicated) but are unable to speak it." It is followed by, "Even parrot mimicry is usually just mimicry not attempts to communicate." Maybe it should say that they are able to speak human but that they are not really capable of having a conversation or any meaningful/coherent exchange? Also, it is stated earlier that animal languages in the show are generally simple, so maybe the part in parentheses should be changed to something else as well.--72.254.97.86 (talk) 17:27, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Talk Pages[edit]

Greetings! After poking around and thinking it over some more, I think the book and the show should each have their own talk pages... the talk page for the show was deleted but I think that might have been because the page for the show was moved once or twice (though I didn't really understand some of the explanation given, which is my fault). Also, the disambiguation guidelines state that this whole disambiguation page is not required since there are only two articles... but I guess we could keep it and just use this talk page for discussing disambiguation and related issues. If nobody has responded to this post by a month from now I'll assume that this page is too much out of the way and I'll try to contact someone who's worked on these pages before. I'm really excited about working on Martha articles; I've got some good sources and I just need to figure out where to post questions so we can all get a consensus on things... Box[edit]

Should the "Martha" and "Helen" links be in the navigation box or what ever it's called be replaced with a direct link to List of Martha Speaks characters, since those two don't actually exist as separate articles? (The same issue would apply to the "Merchandise" link at the bottom.) Also, shouldn't the page for the book be added to the box, especially since the box's caption is a link to the disambiguation page for book and show?--RainbowWerewolf (talk) 01:34, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
