Ceased operation[edit]

The following site appears to indicate that this company is past history, in German, Moneyhouse. Peter Horn User talk 21:42, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The railway is most definitely running. It is now operated by Transports de Martigny et Régions SA, running an hourly timetable in each direction with extra partial services. Will edit the article to correct this. Peter Barber (talk) 10:59, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rename to "Martigny–Châtelard railway"?[edit]

I have done some minor changes to include the above information. However, I am pondering to rename Chemin de Fer de Martigny au Châtelard to Martigny–Châtelard railway (currently a redirect). The company of that name is history. I think the railway line which continues to run is more important. Chemin de Fer de Martigny au Châtelard should be a section here, and also in a potential future article on the Transports de Martigny et Régions SA / Transports de Martigny et Régions. -- Klaus with K (talk) 09:41, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My suggestion for articles:

  • TMR as umbrella transport company
  • railway line Martigny–Châtelard
  • railway line Martigny–Orsières

no separate articles for the pre-merger companies

  • Chemin de fer Martigny–Orsières (MO)
  • Chemin de fer Martigny–Châtelard (MC)
