The article says that "Megatrain was launched following a clause stating...". What clause is that? This statement is worthless without more information.

Fleet size[edit]

That only shows the East Midlands Trains fleet, what about the SWT network? The SWT network fleet size are as follows: 3 Class 73s, 11 Class 158, 30 Class 159, 2 Class 421, 45 Class 444, 127 Class 450, 91 Class 455, 30 Class 458, 6 Class 483. Weekend Travel[edit]

There doesn't seem to be any weekend travel. Could be useful info for someone. I've searched Birmingham to Bournemout hand Bristol to Plymouth as well so far.

30 weeks?[edit]

"The launch falls under a provision that states that a rail operator may try a new low-cost ticketing system for up to 30 weeks, which means Megatrain may last only 30 weeks from the start date." - it's well over 30 weeks since Megatrain launched now, and it's still going, so this sentence doesn't seem to be accurate. 86.143.51.153 11:19, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Designated carriage[edit]

This doesn't apply to the Virgin-operated services, only the SWT-operated ones. On Virgin, Megatrain customers may use any unreserved standard-class seat. 81.159.61.58 04:21, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone actually find/use the 'designated carriage' on the South West Trains? Using the service to Poole (I'll probably update the list of destinations in a minute) the designated carriage always seems to be in the wrong end of the splitting train. Artybrad 00:32, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On this same subject - do the forthcoming Virgin Megatrain services fro 14 July (Birmingham/Manchester to Scotland) have dedicated carriages? I can't find the info on the Megatrain website. 86.136.255.225 (talk) 16:30, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

MegabusPlus[edit]

Comencing on 30th March 2009. Routes from London St Pancras International to East Midlands Parkway by train then to Hull via Doncaster and Scunthorpe, York via Castleford and Harrogate, Huddersfield via Bradford and Halifax by Megabus. Should there be a new page created for this, or should be added to the Megabus or Megatrain article??? This posted on both discussion walls. Amgmichael (talk) 10:58, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
