First sheep herder[edit]

Telegraph[edit]

"Fort Phantom Hill Trail," a military route that connected Fort Phantom Hill and Austin passed through Mills County and was the location of the first telegraph line." No Man's Land ... talks about a telgraph line that ran to Fort Concho, and its office was at the hotel at Williams Ranch. How does it fit into Fort Phantom Hill? Tillable land stats[edit]
