There are very few pictures of Kajii. The most classic/official one can be seen as:

Some cropped version of the same are:

A younger Kajii can also be seen at:

IMO, the very first one I listed should be the one to use (it's a full version of the classic photo, and it displays Kajii's relative "ugliness", which was part of his low self-esteem and troubles with women) - or a bigger/better JPEG version of it, or an enhanced contrast version of it. 62.147.39.131 01:12, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Name order[edit]

If Japanese usually put the family first (as the link to Japanese names says), then why is this article titled "Motojirō Kajii" instead of "Kajii Motojirō"? 03:28, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Assessment comment[edit]

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Motojirō Kajii/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

(Disclosure: I recently overhauled this page from stub to article.) I have assessed it to "B" because it is now way beyond the stub-level, and seems to me beyond the "under construction" feel of a start-level. Would still need lot of scholar work, such as:
  • The bio is only an overview
  • There's no section(s) discussing his style, the close relationship between his oeuvre and his life, his contribution to literature, his effect on later writers, etc.

There is very little "bio" information, and since that's generaly the big chunk of any encyclopedia entry, I'd put it to start personally.--Wizardman 03:00, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks. I have plenty of bio material to add soon, so we'll see after that if it's gone up to B. — Komusou talk @ 20:42, 4 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
