Urban legend[edit]

In fact, one of the references clearly says that this is an "urban myth": "While she denies that there is any truth in the urban myth that an erect penis cannot be shown if it is at a greater angle than the Mull Of Kintyre..." ^[1] While it wasn't a bad idea idea to delete the article as being as being merely humor, it should clearly be noted that this is an urban legend and the links put in place. 24.27.31.170 (talk) 18:30, 26 January 2012 (UTC) Eric[reply]

This has been mentioned on BBC TV in the past. I remember seeing a TV programme which asserted that the test was real but was more of a "rule of thumb" than a rigorous testing method. Don't merge[edit]

No, this should not be merged into 'Mull of Kintyre'. There may be other sites more suitable, either to do with censorship, or with urban (or rural) legends. Valetude (talk) 19:46, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is a bunch of BS that can and should be deleted due to WP:RS. But I'd rather it stay here than have it taint Mull of Kintyre.

By the way, if such a "test" had existed, wouldn't it have been the "Kintyre" test, named after the entire peninsula, rather than just the tip? Un school 13:01, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
