This was not a genuine title[edit]

As alluded to in Bret Hart's book, the Midget World Title was a comedy prop, a miniature belt, much smaller than a regular belt. During certain tours, the "title" would be defended, and on some occasions changed hands, but when the midget troupe moved on to the next territory, the belt was often ignored. There is no lineage for this title, as the champion was decided on a match by match basis with it being very rare that any title change would be recognized on a subsequent card. There was never a recognized "World Champion" out with the billing for any specific card or possibly a short tour in a territory. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.132.172.226 (talk) 01:22, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
