The name DGPFSS was officially changed to Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (along with the analogous military operational title of Director General Morale and Welfare Services) on 15 April 2013. Would recommend changing that in this article, just not sure which one is more acceptable. MicSpi (talk) 16:27, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect title and history[edit]

According to this source [1], National Defence Act wasn't enacted until 1950, where it replaced "the Militia Act, the Naval Service Act, the Royal Canadian Air. Force Act, and the Department of National Defence Act, all acts of the Parliament of Canada, and the Army Act and the Air Force Act of the United Kingdom". The law that was passed in 1922 was the Department of National Defence Act. The article should be updated. TimeEngineer (talk) 08:19, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
