Russian V2 tests at Peenemunde in 1945?
[edit]Information has recently emerged that British interceptors working for MI6 monitored radio beacon signals from V2 launches by the Russians from Peenemunde in late 1945. Although "Peenemunde" and "Russians" were specifically mentioned, perhaps it was down to misinterpretation of the Operation Backfire tests. British government records of wireless interception for this date have not been released but if there is any supporting evidence this information should be added to the Operation Backfire page. Clitterhouse
[edit]The articel mentions that the last shot was named "Operation Clitterhouse". I have some doubt because it is mentioned nowhere else. I could not find even find it in the official Backfire report. It is mentioned in some other documents in the internet but might be copied from this Wikipedia article SchmiAlf (talk) 15:57, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
