Order of St Andrew??[edit]

As far as I can tell, there is no such thing as a Barbadian “Order of St Andrew”. There is a “Knight or Dame of St Andrew”, which is an award within the Order of Barbados [1], [2]. It looks to me if the Order of St. Andrew article is a ring-in and should be deleted. -- JackofOz (talk) 21:32, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Google it... There is a Knight + Dame of Saint Andrew. [3], For example the first name which comes to my mind whom was awarded such an order was the wife of the Father of Independence and former Governor General H.E. Dame Nita Barrow [4]... The Award also tends to be awarded on Independence day. [5]

A better idea would be a rename to Knight or Dame of Saint Andrew.

Thanks for confirming what I'm saying. Yes, there is an award called "Knight/Dame of St Andrew", but there is no "Order of St Andrew". The Knight/Dame is part of the Order of Barbados; it does not constitute a separate order. I agree that renaming the article would be appropriate. -- JackofOz (talk) 20:56, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
