Sunshine Day[edit]

How can you possibly have a biography of Osibisa that fails to mention their hit Sunshine Day, other than in the discography. It's like having a biography of Mott the Hoople without mentioning All The Young Dudes, unthinkable! Skinsmoke (talk) 04:01, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"world music" claim[edit]

the page that is referenced for the claim regarding the origin of the term doesn't actually contain the text "world music" (instead, it says 'worldbeat', which in turn has its own WP article and seems a different style). indeed, the world music article talks about the phrase being coined in the early 60s and Osibisa formed in 69. world music also does not mention "Osibisa". this is why i'm removing said claim. only if someone can update the claim with proper and credible references (and not ignore linking back from world music) should this be reverted --MilkMiruku (talk) 17:51, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Progressive rock[edit]

Search for a connection between this group and progressive rock turned up nothing. This book says that they are "on the cusp" of being prog because Roger Dean did their art, but that doesn't equal prog. 50.45.212.235 (talk) 07:02, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

First UK agent[edit]

I'm trying to remember Osibisa's first UK manager/agent. Much of their early exposure came from his university contacts, in my recollection. I think the story of their loss of growth should include their split from this guy. But then, early, dedicated young managers are soon forgotten by artists and historians! According to Colin Richardson, Bron Artistes Management (Gerry Bron and later Bronze Records) was the organization that were involved with Osibisa during the time Richardson worked there (68-71).
