Follow-up on the early overlay journals[edit]

Regarding the 3 examples of early overlay journals: It seems that 2 of these have been captured by conventional publishers. JHEP is now published by Springer [1], which charges substantial author processing fees. G&T is now published by MSP, which charges subscription fees [2].
