Penthouse Paupers had two releases in the late 80's and their live career spanned five years, contributing significantly to the Melbourne Indy rock scene and helping to mould the sound that is recognised today in bands like Jet. The Paupers performed close to 200 gigs, including headlining at classic Melbourne venues such as the Punters Club, the Prince of Wales, the Palace, the Club and others.
