Name confusion[edit]
The Phoenix Mountain park system is generally known as the Phoenix Mountain Preserve [1], less commonly called the Phoenix Mountains Preserve.
Phoenix Mountains Park and Recreation Area is actually a part of the popular Piestewa Peak (formerly Squaw Peak) area. It's an individual city park [2].
I'll be moving this page to Phoenix Mountain Preserve shortly, as this seems clear-cut & non-controversial. Pete Tillman (talk) 22:25, 26 August 2010 (UTC), longtime AZ resident & frequent user of these parks.
