Terrorists[edit]

I do not think one should consider the Viet Cong "terrorists." If you spent time speaking with US Soldiers from the Vietnam era, they would consider the Viet Cong, guerillas. The VC fought as soldiers against soldiers. Their methods may have been particularly violent, but war is violent by its very nature. Terrorists engage civilians and others in random acts of violence. Yes, but Phred frequently referred to himself as one ("Everybody's heard of Phred the terrorist!"), so in the context of the article anyway, it is appropriate.

Wow, I forgot that I edited this page so long ago. I know he did, but the VC weren't terrorists in the way we mean terrorists today. Maybe we could do a small rewrite, but I don't think it really matters that much. Orangemarlin 05:06, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
