Last Deadly Tornado[edit]

The article says "making it the first killer tornado in Canada since 1988." but the list of Canadian tornados lists a deadly tornado in 1994:

Saint-Charles, Quebec, July 9, One person was killed when an F2 tore through the town located east of Montreal. 3 other person were injured, about a dozen homes were damaged.

I don't know which is correct. I also recall that there were fatalities from a tornado in/around Barrie, Ontario in the early 90's.

You're probably thinking of the 1985 Barrie tornado

Is there any accurate listing of all tornados in Canada to reference?

I was the one who said 1994, but actually both bits may be wrong as (I just found out) according to this one person was killed in 1999 by a tornado in the Drummondville area.--JForget 20:10, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"First deadly tornado in Canada since..."[edit]

Why put "making it the first deadly tornado in Canada since 1994" in this article? I think it would make more sense to reference Black Friday (The Edmonton Tornado) in this article since it was such a large event and even more deadly than this tornado. The Edmonton tornado "killed 27 people and injured more than 300". Why not say "making this the second deadliest tornado since "Black Friday" in Edmonton, Alberta in 1987". Or something like that. I think it is a bad idea to make this sound so much worse than any other tornado. Yes, it was tragic and devastating and quite deadly, but not the deadliest by far. The wording and the references in this article make it seem very inaccurate and misguided.
