About "Double Up" (3rd regular season or a new special edition?)[edit]

Has it been confirmed as the 3rd regular season, or is this a new special edition (like celebrity or teen edition)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.198.177.182 (talkcontribs) 12:31, 10 September 2009

About the schedule of auditions[edit]

Should we put the schedule of auditions? I don't think that's relevant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.198.177.182 (talkcontribs) 12:31, 10 September 2009

Housemate Descriptions[edit]

With the possibility of having a huge lot of housemates, are we getting rid of housemate descriptions or is it just in the process of being written? Thanks! LordBelly06 (talk) 14:37, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you can write the descriptions of the housemates in a separate article, but I decided to put up the table first instead because we don't have their full names yet so we can fully profile them. But let's keep them short when we do. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:47, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
For my part, Nanami: JP and JM are John Paul and John Michael Lagumbay. I know, because they were my classmates in high school. --Eaglestorm (talk) 14:59, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You know them personally? Anyway, when we get to the descriptions later, I'll take note of that. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 15:19, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good job on the housemates' descriptions. I edited the twins part though, to further describe their identities. As an additional question, would it be better to just change the font color of the twins, so that we can follow the 2-in-1 format of PBBCE2? LordBelly06 (talk) 23:08, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, that's not me who entered the profiles. I was asleep at the time. You have to thank the anonymous editor for that. But I will edit them later to straight profile format. (I'm currently trying to do double-duty as I also edit the Survivor Philippines: Palau article.) - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 01:56, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What is Jason's occupation? 112.201.173.8 (talk) 16:03, 5 October 2009 (UTC) I think there should be a legend for the colors on the twin housemates. For the viewers, we know what it probably means. For the rest who does not watch the show, it's a guessing game. 112.201.173.8 (talk) 16:07, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Is it appropriate to use the logo from PBB's official multiply site? Shouldn't the actual title card for the show be used? 112.201.173.8 (talk) 16:07, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should use the logo ONLY (without the background, etc...). Or we could just crop out the sides so the logo would appear bigger on the page. But I also think we should use the official title card... hmm....--Cucproductions (talk) 11:57, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Map of the house[edit]

Since this season uses a special two-sided house, I think we should add a map of the house (if available). I mean, look at Big Brother 2006 (UK) article.--Cucproductions (talk) 12:02, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No need. The official website will have a virtual tour of the house. 112.201.135.217 (talk) 14:58, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Even if there will be a virtual tour, I decided to make a floor plan.LordBelly06 (talk) 15:51, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good estimation. Although you should the scale which the plan is based. (Where north is compared to the drawing doesn't seem to be important, as shown by Big Brother US 8's floor plan.) - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 16:12, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! And nice map by the way.--Cucproductions (talk) 17:28, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I uploaded a new, more accurate map. However, I think I made a mistake with uploading as I had to upload the new version. Is it possible to petition for the deletion of the file "Pinoy Big Brother House Plan 2.png" since it won't be used anymore? I'm really clueless as to how to delete that file. LordBelly06 (talk) 15:13, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The website's virtual tour is actually inaccurate. LordBelly06's map is indeed a good estimation though several areas or sections of the camera ring are missing. Rnavnavnav (talk) 05:51, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mini-shows[edit]

Besides the main show (Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up on Primetime Bida hosted by Toni Gonzaga), there's also Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up Uber (hosted by Mariel Rodriguez) and Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up LATE (Hotes by Bianca Gonzales). I think we should include that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cucproductions (talkcontribs) 16:47, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No need. They're already mentioned at the anchor article. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 16:52, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I put it under a category. I think it's more organized. I just need help in the description of the shows (like this season's Uber, is it gonna be like the previous seasons' Uber, where they show the daily task in live TV? And in UpLate, what do they show in UpLate? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cucproductions (talkcontribs) 17:38, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect here when "Pinoy Big Brother season 3" searched[edit]

I tried searching "Pinoy Big Brother season 3" and it did not redirect here. Since this is the third regular season of Pinoy Big Brother, I think it should.--222.127.208.69 (talk) 03:48, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

:But on the other hand, "pinoy big brother season 1" or "pinoy big brother season 2" doen't redirect to Pinoy Big Brother (season 1) and Pinoy Big Brother (season 2) (respectively) either. Maybe we can create redirects for all three then. --- Tito Pao (talk) 04:00, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I stand corrected..."pinoy big brother season 3" does redirect. It looks like it was fixed just now, the redirect was originally created last August. All the same, I created another redirect for "pinoy big brother 3". --- Tito Pao (talk) 04:03, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Daily Tasks[edit]

Wiki Articles such as that of Big Brother 2008 (U.K.) and Big Brother 9 (U.S.) included daily tasks in their chronology of events. Perhaps they added only those daily tasks and not the minor tasks of Big Brother. In our case, we have so far 2 daily tasks, that of the "Pintawan" in Day 3 and "Buko Bowling" in Day 5. Should we add a section for this as well? LordBelly06 (talk) 06:15, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unless those tasks contribute to a major event later in the season, they're not important and therefore should not be added. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 10:39, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Day Count[edit]

What is the basis of the day count for this article? Is it the 24-hour period since the first housemates entered Big Brother's house (9pm to 9pm)? Is it base on the actual morning hours (versus the nights they are in Big Brother's house)?

I'm just confuse because according to the primetime show, JP exited in the 4th day and not the 3rd day since he officially got out of the house at around 12:34am. Kenny, JM, and Toffi's day count seems correct. Entry count for the new housemates are probably base on the number of days the show went on air.

Or maybe the day count is acting out as episode number for the primetime program? Which means there could be 12-hour delay depending on when they will show an event that happened inside the house. For example, today (as of this posting, 5:51pm) is the housemate's day # 8, and later, night # 9, episode # 9 on primetime but will show events from day # 8 (Jason's Birthday) and # 9, night # 7 and #8.

In any case, we need to create a standard, if not already set on how days are counted in this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.201.178.195 (talk) 09:56, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Day 1 is the day they entered the house (October 4, 2009). Note that October 6 was when they had the Pintawan task, and there's no JP mentioned in the PBB article. Therefore, he left in the early morning of that day LordBelly06 (talk) 11:26, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Colour code for House Nomination[edit]

Can anyone please divide the nomination list by Houses. I mean they could be divided by colour, Jason and Princess could have a different box colour than Carol and Jimson. Thank You.--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 07:47, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The host stated that only one among the four nominees will leave the house. There are at least two nominees per house, but only one will leave per eviction night unless otherwise stated. In any case, already done the edit. Nanami, what do you say to this?LordBelly06 (talk) 08:00, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

With the switching of Houses, I made the color code beside the houses reflect their current house. But I made a "Group" which reflects their original grouping. Any ideas to make this less confusing? LordBelly06 (talk) 14:29, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fake executives?[edit]

  • Were the executives really fake? LOL, they got me in there! --CocaCirca2009 (talk) 22:36, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
LOL...for all we know, they may be just expats living in Metro Manila and were hired to act like producers :P Anyway...does it look like the usual article sources mention these "fake executives"? --- Tito Pao (talk) 01:33, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Toni confirmed on last night's episode that they are indeed fake. LOL I really thought it was real! haha--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 22:06, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You should be suspicious about the Turkish producer. FYI, there's no Big Brother Turkey. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 02:01, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ok, caught a snippet of that last night. Imagine how they would feel if they found out the truth. Anyway, back to regular editing...--Eaglestorm (talk) 02:22, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

iABSCBN - ABS-CBN's official YouTube?[edit]

Under the "Big Brother Swap" category of the article, it is mentioned that iABS-CBN (youtube "dot" com/iabscbn) is ABS-CBN's official YouTube. Is this true? Someone needs to verify this.--222.127.223.73 (talk) 11:14, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes it is. Check out the ABS-CBN website.--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 15:27, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • I checked the ABS-CBN website and clicked on the embedded Youtube video twice so it would redirect me. I found out that it was posted by ABSCBNOnline. The iABSCBN account has been suspended. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rnavnavnav (talkcontribs) 00:31, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Big Brother Swap[edit]

I added a section in Big Brother 2009 (Finland). Maybe the section on Big Brothet Swap can be made in such a way that it is easier to copy the one we have to their article, with only day numbers changing? Also, would we add a section on Big Swap in the main article or there is no need? LordBelly06 (talk) 15:05, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No need. We would only indicate the swap on the individual articles. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 15:07, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have another question in mind. Is there any source of an image we can possibly use for the Big Swap? LordBelly06 (talk) 15:46, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Houseguests[edit]

Would we add a new section on houseguests, for Maja Salvador and Katlin Laas, or there is no need yet for that? Season 2 article has a sub-section for their three houseguests. LordBelly06 (talk) 15:46, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No need for that yet. And Maja Salvador's stay only lasted an afternoon, we can't regard her as a houseguest in the same sense as that of Celebrity Edition 2. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 15:58, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the reply. As for the image I asked above, I was looking for possible promotional images, but can't find any except those in the website. Is it possible to use that or not? LordBelly06 (talk) 16:09, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination Totals[edit]

What if there is a sudden drastic change of grouping, how will we do the nomination totals? The houses color has been resolved, but how about the grouping? LordBelly06 (talk) 12:26, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to suggest that we move the nomination totals as a last column in the nominations table so as to lessen the number of tables in the article, and to follow with the trend of recent Big Brother franchises. What do you think of this? I think the only problem will be with Season 2's Secret Housemates who were never nominated but were automatically nominated. The question arises as to how the automatic nomination will be counted (if it will be counted as 1 or as a 0 (+ 1) )LordBelly06 (talk) 12:26, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We knew a sudden drastic change of grouping would happen. But here's an idea: Attach the prefix "neo-" to indicate the change in grouping, as well as the following colors to indicate the new groupings:

  • Neo-Group A:
  • Neo-Group B:   or

This would be done for the meantime until the females reverted to their original groups. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 13:59, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I guess it's better to use orange than magenta as magenta is closer to red. An added introduction and explanation is needed. Great idea. LordBelly06 (talk) 14:02, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The reason why I chose magenta because it is darker than pink ( ). Anyway, I see that you like my idea.
Go ahead, Nanami. Magenta's too "loud" as a chart color.--Eaglestorm (talk) 14:07, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's the word I was looking for. Magenta seems too painful to the eye, I suppose? Yeah, go ahead. Your idea is fantastic. An explanation about it is needed of course, but the idea itself is good enough. We won't change colors for Houses though, right? LordBelly06 (talk) 14:10, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, the colors for the Houses won't change. The idea of the prefix "neo-" was just to reflect the switch. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:15, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just had an idea. What if there is another mixture of groups? How will we do the color-coding? LordBelly06 (talk) 11:37, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I will try to combine the nomination totals with the nomination tables, to lessen the length of the article, following what Big Brother UK did with their articles. In doing so, I would have to move the HOH, Hand Grenade User and Recipient rows below the Notes row. If you think this is not right, please revert my edit. LordBelly06 (talk) 12:33, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: I have done the editing. Please advise if the new version is better than the old one with a separate section. I cannot fully comply with BB UK's version as the red evicted background will make the nominations from then Group B barely readable. LordBelly06 (talk) 12:53, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Combining the nomination totals to the nomination table is a completely bad idea. The upcoming 8 other evictions can barely even fit the original nominations table, and now the nominations totals was combined with it?...I'm sorry but it doesn't work at all.--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 19:11, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I followed the ystem implemented by Big Brother UK since only Big Brother UK used to have a separate nomination totals section. I am looking for better ways of shortening the article. Any suggestions? How can we make the table better looking? LordBelly06 (talk) 00:41, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I dont think having a long article is a big problem at all, unless an administrator is complaining about it. As long as we have relevant informations there should be no problem. Its best to separate the Nomination totals from the Nomination history table; the recent one may look alright by now but after the 8 other evictees are inserted in the table, I don't think it will look any good when that time comes. The other versions of BB may have combined the Nomination Table with the Nomination results because they dont have a large amount of housemates, this version of PBB has 26 housemates. We can barely even fit all 26 of them in the previous table.--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 19:50, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey guys, now that the season is over, I still don't have ample time to transfer the Nomination Totals to a separate table. Sorry if it looks messy now. But if you must, if anyone wants to, then you may transfer the nomination totals back to where it belonged, unless we want to change all PBB articles to make it uniform and place the nomination totals to the right-most side of the nominations table. What do you guys propose? LordBelly06 (talk) 01:48, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

House colours on the nomination results[edit]

  • Seriously guys, its so confusing. It makes it seem like Yhel and Princess were in the same house while same thing goes with Tom, Jimson and Delio. Even though none them have actually lived together in the same house. Please somebody fix this.--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 00:26, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's actually not that confusing if you actually read the introduction. This is supposed to be an encyclopedic article, and is meant to be read as such. The introduction therefore will serve as a guide for reading the section. I hope you understand this. LordBelly06 (talk) 01:58, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Skilling Bee and Pinoy Big Battle rules sections[edit]

It's just me, but I think we really don't need these sections or at least lay down the rules; we can just tabulate who won or lost in the chronology section. Remember that I'm concerned for the size of the article (and I'm thinking of moving some parts and culling others). - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:58, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, in my opinion, we need to show at least the basic rules of each task, as the weekly task is composed of 5 battles each. With the battle to last for 4 weeks, we can do some edits, either include it to the main table or make it hideable? LordBelly06 (talk) 15:04, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Another possibility I'm thinking is that we keep the table for now and if the article gets too big, we can make an offshoot for the Chronology and Weekly Task, with possibly the main table only in the main article and the main table + the extra tables in the offshoot article together with the Chronology. What do you think about this suggestion? LordBelly06 (talk) 15:07, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think so. The other Big Brother articles reduced their chronologies to mere summaries and the only off-shoot articles are the housemates articles. Culling some edits, etc. may do for now, which to cull will be thought of first. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 15:24, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I see. Well, you can decide to delete some entries if you want, those that seem redundant. But I think the weekly tasks tables should stay, unless you will include the battles in the main weekly task table, which can prove to be messy and not too encyclopedic. Think about the suggestion I made, it might prove to be useful (and we can be the first BB to do that!). Kidding aside, I think you know better than I do about deleting parts of the chronology, but for the weekly task, I really hope to see the tables stay (or at least the main essence will stay). LordBelly06 (talk) 15:29, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to cull the Skilling Bee and Pinoy Big Battle tables; I've integrated what happened in those games into the Chronology section. The rationale: look at the article for Celebrity Edition 2. You will not find the full rules of the HOH competitions; only what they involved and the abridged results, which are mentioned in the chronology. Sorry if I decided to rain on your parade. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 15:20, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I know you know better than we do. BTW, can you just extend the notes then, for the 6th and 7th weekly tasks at least? I mean, make it more informative, much like how the original was. Is it possible to do that? LordBelly06 (talk) 16:03, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

creating a separate page for housemates[edit]

i would suggest that a separate page for the housemates setions should be made to make the article shorter. and i would also suggest that a more organized chart for house affiliations should be made. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iankevinsevilla (talkcontribs) 13:13, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, the separate housemates' page is not possible because we are trying to make the article as structurally identical with that of the previous editions. Since this is the first season to have such large numbers of HMs per batch, the current setup is more suitable. --Eaglestorm (talk) 13:39, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
When time comes, as what Nanami and I did in Season 2, we can create a separate article for all housemates and houseguests (to date, only Katlin is considered a houseguest, although mention of Maja, Mommy D and Ms. Aiai can be made as they entered the house as guests as well). We can do so after the season is over, when there are more houseguests involved.
As for the house affliations, I don't see anything wrong with the charts made per batch. LordBelly06 (talk) 14:00, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination Table[edit]

I was browsing some Big Brother articles and found out that Big Brother Africa also had the vote to evict twist. I was wondering whether we should follow that format wherein they placed "to save" under the percentage of to save votes and "to evict" under the percentage of to evict votes? LordBelly06 (talk) 08:20, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • That would be better specially if the "Save or Evict Voting" kicks in. --CocaCirca2009 (talk) 17:50, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edits are being made with the nomination table about adding background colors to reflect the houses to which the housemates belonged to. I have been reverting these edits as I believe that such a major change needs to be discussed in this section. One reason that I did not let it be is the simple reason that with the change of shade of blue, it makes the blue color barely readable in the nomination totals with the automatically nominated housemates. Also, those with automatic nomination will not reflect their house color. LordBelly06 (talk) 14:56, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It might take some space but nomination totals should be placed after the table to be consistent with usual practice in PBB articles. 119.94.224.204 (talk) 05:48, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ever since the nomination totals have been transposed and added to their respective rows, the Automatic Nomination (AN) color fill disappeared. Is it still necessary to add the blue shades to those Housemates who received an Automatic Nomination? Rnavnavnav (talk) 06:00, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry for the confusion. As this is an excessive editing, when I find time for it, I will revert it back. I apologize if the movemebt of the nomination totals to the side of the nomination table caused any inconvenience. I was following Big Brother UK's version of their tables, hence, the change. LordBelly06 (talk) 05:21, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

About the 7th eviction, with the extended content, can anyone change the background of that? LordBelly06 (talk) 07:30, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Weekly Task- Inter Big Brother Competition[edit]

  • When was it mentioned that they won?...Come to think of it, I dont think that it's a weekly task at all. They were only "pranked" by Kuya to see how they would react on a certain situation. --CocaCirca2009 (talk) 19:54, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Voting History is a mess[edit]

  • So I have a suggestion, do we need to span the fact they all re-entered in voting table, because I don't necessairly think they are actually housemates, only true intruders, so unless it is neccesarily I think we should put the GUEST span with (Entered-Day 107-134 (134 just a guess and random, not an actual date). --BigOz22 (talk) 00:06, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • They lived and stayed in the house. They are allowed to voluntary exit. They are mentioned as housemates on House B. --CocaCirca2009 (talk) 11:24, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

advanced chronology posting[edit]

For the past few months, some people have been posting details of events that happened hours or days ahead of their appearance in the Primetime Edition. I think while it is appreciated that some posters subscribe to the live streams (some anons may fall into this category), it's not an excuse to just post stuff here about any event because it happened right now, for example. Please only post details after they came out on the primetime show. Thank you.--Eaglestorm (talk) 04:02, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On Tom's second exit[edit]

We have the same problem before with Yayo as in Celebrity Edition 2. Tom first left the house as a forced evictee. This time around, he voluntarily left the house. The official site says that he is still a forced evictee. What should his status be now, both in the sidebar and the nominations table? LordBelly06 (talk) 09:19, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

First status stays. After all, the Resbak Attack housemates would leave at the of the week anyway. Yayo's situation was different because her fate to return to House and trade places with Gaby was up public vote. The Resbak Attack housemates' actions don't affect anything. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 09:50, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Should I change the nomination table to "Forced Eviction (Day 107)" then? LordBelly06 (talk) 09:53, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Don't change anything. The present table only indicates that Tom participated in the Resbak Attack - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 09:56, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the nomination table indicates that Tom voluntarily left the house on Day 107, and hence I added a note to support that, as it was shown in PT. But I was wondering as to what should be indicated there, whether it should be voluntary exit or forced eviction. I hope you can help out on this. LordBelly06 (talk) 10:01, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Toni Gonzaga mentioned that Tom had "quit" the resbak attacking. 'Quit', which is the same as Voluntary Exit.--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 17:21, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello guys. CocaCirca, that's also what I have in mind that's why I'm asking what Tom's status really is. I get Nanami's point that in the sidebar, Tom should remain a forced evictee. But in the nominations table, should it be Voluntary Exit or Forced Eviction? Nanami, what should it be? LordBelly06 (talk) 06:48, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

good job[edit]

To the anons and the registered editors who worked on this article for the past five months (Nanami, Coca, Lordbelly, et al) let's pat ourselves on the back for a job well done. I'm watching the finale right now, and I couldn't believe this article survived so much vandalism - yet this became much more detailed than the previous seasons. Hope such cooperation comes around again when Teen Edition III hits this summer. Now back to your regular editing...--Eaglestorm (talk) 15:18, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

good job to all of us indeed. Now time for us to make the article complete. I guess you guys will be better in making the Big Night section. See you all again in a few weeks.LordBelly06 (talk) 16:04, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm trying that. But right now, I don't have the exact numbers. So that section will wait, I think until tomorrow. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 16:08, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's all over now huhu :(...all worth it though!--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 16:10, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Good Job everyone! I have just a question to ask, whether you want to stick with the current nominations table or if we will move the nominations total to a separate table? Please discuss here and edit as you may. I would want to edit it, but I still have no lengthy time to do the edit. I hope everyone understands and can help me out. MELASON IN LOVE[edit]

  • LOL, its not finished yet. On the Melason In Love episode today, it was revealed that the housemates have stayed in the house for extra more days. Shoudln't we make note of it?--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 15:06, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Actually, the show technically ended at the Big Night. Everything else after the reunion should be chronicled on that article. Furthermore, my work schedule doesn't allow me to watch the show. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 15:24, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I may have a vague idea of how the show works so I might add an anchor intro into this article later. I'm doing something else right now. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 19:39, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a section about "Melason in Love" in this article. I only briefly explained a little bit about the show so as not to overshadow that article. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 10:02, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks!--CocaCirca2009 (talk) 17:43, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues[edit]

Guys I don't mean to be a party pooper but there are a lot of things that needs to be addressed:

  • Clean-up and grammar/spell checks
  • Clean-up on usage of weasel words
  • For an article size this big, inline citations and other external sources needs to heavily be added
ABS CBN should not be used as primary sources per WP:COI; Producer/Owner/Distributor of the franchise can write any good thing they can about the show
  • the image File:Pinoy Big Brother House Floor Plan.png violates GDFL
  • This talk page is not a forum

Please be mindful of Wikipedia's guidelines and policies. Thanks. --TitanOne (talk) 16:22, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of content[edit]

Before somebody is asking: I removed sooo much "content" because it was all unsourced and problematic. Before reverting me or adding new content back: provide reliable, independent sources. I have this article now on my watchlist, so don't try to revert it if you don't provide ANY new reference... mabdul 15:44, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nanami Kamimura, I don't understand why do you not want to talk to me, more over the fact, you even removed my talk page comment here where I want to discuss the problems.
This page has major issues, as some examples will follow:
  • The images uploaded under fair use:
    • File:PBBhousemates.jpg is in no kind a fair use since all members are still living and thus the image can be "easily" replaced by an free alternative. That violates our Fair Use policy.
    • File:PBBdUP.jpg is just too big, but is solveable
    • and finally File:PBB-_Kätlin_meets_Cathy_through_Skype.png is a) too big and b) explain me please what's the need of this image? What does this image illustrate which can't be done by text? (so also violating our Fair Use policy)
  • The whole text is unsourced and I only removed the sections which were entirely unsourced. As the User:Active Banana correctly stated in his removal of content in April 2010 that the whole article violates our policy on living persons and thus should either get removed or sourced. Here are two representative examples for the whole article as it was before my revert:
    • "He got his boss’ daughter pregnant and was banned from seeing his child"
    • "intensely jealous because her husband, Jimson, had an affair after he went back home to the Philippines"
  • Please find either sources or remove it. Keep in mind that every fact/claim has to be verifiable by the reader and that is not possible since the TV show is neither aired worldwide nor is this possible - say - in 4 years after the show ends without rebroadcasting the old material.
And yes, this should also be done by any other BB article if the situation is similar. (until now I hadn't the time to check this)

Copyvio[edit]

Further investigation shows that a lot of the removed information - including e.g. "He got his boss’ daughter pregnant and was banned from seeing his child" - was added on 4 October 2009 [1] by 79.72.198.84 (talk · contribs) - who was blocked the next day as a sock-puppet (Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Witchy2006/Archive). That portion of the text appears to be a copyright violation of this news article. Hence, I have followed procedure for dealing with copyright-violations; see Wikipedia:Copyright_problems/2011_November_17. Although that is one specific section, it seems likely investigation will reveal further CV concerns.

In addition to the copyright-concerns, please note that unreferenced information, and particularly regarding strong claims about living people - such as, "He got his boss’ daughter pregnant and was banned from seeing his child" and "[she is] intensely jealous because her husband, Jimson, had an affair after he went back home to the Philippines" - doesn't belong on Wikipedia. The policy regarding Biographies of living persons is absolutely clear on this sort of thing; the burden of giving references lies with the person adding the information - even when undo/reverting earier edits.

Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion - WP:BLP.

I think what's best to do with the article is make a season summary, either a weekly summary or a whole season summary. Edit how the housemates are described, make it as brief as possible. Then for the remaining parts, keep them as is as thay re legitimate summaries of what happened during the show's run. Do you agree on this? LordBelly06 (talk) 03:19, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
