The article Plumpton, New South Wales states that Plumpton, New South Wales was named because

Coursing in England was conducted at Plumpton, so that name replaced Woodstock.

Does this relate to Plumpton, Cumbria, or is it another Plumpton? Was Walter Lamb (1825-1906)from this area or somewhere else?

Thanks for any assistance! --Garrie 00:59, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
