Development[edit]

Currently a lot of development is planned or taking place in the area. Some estimates put it at 500 million It would be interesting to see an article on this —Preceding unsigned comment added by Polysophia (talkcontribs) 11:03, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blatant advertisement[edit]

I have rephrased and edited the following: "The Internet cafe in Polis Chrysochous in the polis square is an ideal place to catch up with loved ones from abroad." unknown user.

More tourism?[edit]

I had visited Polis about 10 years ago, back then there were very lovely beaches but few hotels. The article says it is a quiet area still. However, some of my Cypiot friends told me there were more hotels built in the last 10 years and I also saw the area several times in touristic brochures. Does anyone know more about the touristic development of Polis?

Hi it is still relatively quiet compared to other areas in Cyprus. The new hotel is called anasa.--Polysophia (talk) 13:50, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why blanked?[edit]

This article was created, and blanked shortly afterwards by the same editor... why? Should it be restored, or deleted? --Alynna 16:56, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, there's at least contect back here... should someone rescue the content that got lost from the first version, though? Or was it blanked for a reason? --Alynna 23:25, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
On further research, I find that it was a copyvio from here. That's that mystery solved. The information ought to be included, though. --Alynna 23:29, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've only just noticed this, I'm afraid, having already come across the article and tidied & wikified it. If I get time, I'll check the source you mention and see if I can make use of it (unless someone else gets there first). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 08:57, 6 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Polis logo.gif[edit]

Image:Polis logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
