Title[edit]

The reservoirs in Brazil belong to the Lagoa Feia Group, which include both syn-rift of the Coqueiros Formation and so-called 'sag' (early post-rift) of the Macabu Formation. These reservoir rocks are very unusual, deposited in an unusual environment and are only present along a small part of the South American and African margins. The title is far too general, as there are lots of other pre-salt layers out there. The South Atlantic Pre-salt play is referred to and would probably make a better name than the current one.
