Incorrect birth year[edit]

Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented.

Please replace “Born: 1980” in the infobox with “Born: 1980s.” Different sources infer I was born different years. For example, this source says I was 29 years-old in 2011 (inferring I was born in 1982). Whereas this source says I was 35 in 2015 (born 1980). This is why the body of the page says “1980s” instead of an exact year. My actual birthdate is December 12, 1981. Prernagupta1 (talk) 20:07, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing as the Entrepreneur.com reference better agrees with your statement, I have used it as the preferred source for the birth year. (This should be better than 1980s, which could mean anywhere from 1980 to 1989.) --Paul_012 (talk) 21:21, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits[edit]

I am Prerna Gupta, the subject of this page. Recently an anonymous IP editor added two paragraphs to the end of the Career section. I don't think these two paragraphs improve the page, because:

Most of the two paragraphs is redundant with the content already on the page, right above it
The rest is largely promotional content about the features/benefits of apps/services/companies I started
The last two sentences are copy/pasted from a recent article in Inc. Magazine (I think this could be added if rewritten for copyright purposes)

Thanks @Fences and windows:. I was also reviewing the last 2+ years of press coverage for newly-published source material that could be used to update the page. There's several sources including Inc. Magazine and Fox News that prominently mention my nickname as "the queen of viral apps". Could that be added as an "also known as" in the first sentence? Prernagupta1,MOS:BADNICK says "Nicknames and other aliases included must be frequently used by reliable sources in reference to the subject." I don't think this reaches that level, but you can ask for another opinion: WP:3O. Fences&Windowsr
