"True Story"
[edit]There was a notable croc of incredible size such that even hippos would avoid him, and capture attempts proved unsuccessful; that's about it. The rest of the story is Hollywood garbage. --Haizum μολὼν λαβέ 02:35, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
the computer
[edit]I know the characters said they lost the computer...but I never remember seeing it get lost in the movie or on the deleted scenes part. Anyone know what happened to it?
Details
[edit]I replaced the plot with a very short synopsis (since I haven't seen the film). The previous one had been taken word-for-word from imdb.com's page. We can't do that because... they'll sue! -User:Elizabennet | talk 03:52, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Not that the concept of the movie isn't very ethno-centric or racist (White people go to Africa to chase a monster and find that the local peopl are a worse problem than the monster), but the plot synopsis might do with some rewording. It seems to support a racist viewpoint more than either the IMDB synopsis or the official site's synopses. I have no desire to redirect the plot of the film, I just felt put off by the flavor added to the description. As a suggestion, maybe something like, "A news team becomes the target of a local military leader on a trip to hunt down a famed man eating crocodile." Ok, that's my five cents. CaWH
Murder?
[edit]Wait it is about an animal that comminted 300 murders or a real human?
It's about a crocodile. Man, what a rip off. -SabineLaGrande 23:58, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah its about an actual crocodile that has killed 300 people, it started attacking humnas when it could no longer find its normal food or something like that. The trailers are a bit of a tease if you ask me.
ok whomever wrote all this added I's in it what encyclopedia has that.
Spoilers
[edit]Spoiler warnings would be nice don't you think? Toxic Ninja 04:55, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
A "spoiler" presumes that there is something to be spoiled in the first place. No rational person would see this movie. 192.80.61.168 13:39, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
I just saw the DVD. This is by far the best Croc movie yet IMO. Much better than lake Placid, Crocodile, Dino-Croc, SuperCroc, Blood Surf, etc. And the whole underlying message of them creating the monster, political corruption, etc. This was a great monster movie. Honestly, the croc is just added for a gimmick. It could work perfectly without it as well.
Thank you Captain Obvious
[edit]"The idea behind the misleading trailers and website is to use a scare tactic to get more viewers to see the movie. "
How enlightening.Rglong 01:45, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Where the article says "homosexual crocodile" is that meant to be homocidal? There seems to be no mention anywhere else of the crocodile's sexual preference. 129.244.128.219 23:47, 12 January 2007 (UTC)T.Kord
Not that there's anything wrong with that!
...I apologize, but a mistake like that is just tremendously humorous to me. I fell off of my chair and woke up a few people once I read that... High Deity 08:31, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Rambling
[edit]This whole article needs a fix up. Whoever wrote basically rambles on with pointless facts and repetitions. Also, the writer keeps referring to "the guy", whoever that is, and misspells and forgets capitalization often. I looked at a few other articles, and they actually made the plot clearer than this. For example, there are more than just a "few guys" involved, it is meant to be that they are caught in the middle of a local warlord's civil war. -Unknown (Please sign your posts!)
Indeed it does, I will work on it later and through out the week to fix this mess of an article. The Author seems as if (s)he was intoxicated at the time of composing or is physically and mentally immature. I have not seen this movie, but at least I could touch up the grammar and punctuation.
