This page should actually be called "RMIT University Library". Thoughts? 06:38, 21 March 2018‎ User:LeedsLibrarian

Rename of wiki page?[edit]

Think this title of this wiki is quite dated. RMIT University Library is the offical name, this should be changed?

The page title 'Libraries of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology' is due to the article including information for two separate library networks within the organisation that is the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology: those being RMIT University Library (of RMIT University in Australia) and RMIT Vietnam Library (of RMIT University Vietnam). 'Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology' is the official name of the organisation and 'RMIT University' and 'RMIT University Vietnam' are separate entities within it - each with its own library network. The above page title is appropriate as the article includes information on the separate library networks within the organisation. Whereas the page title 'Libraries of RMIT University' only refers to the Australian library network (of which the correct page title would more likely be 'RMIT University Library').
